Program Goals
Express Appreciation
Help us express appreciation for our colleagues' hard work. It can be difficult in the moment to recognize how our teammates help us succeed. Recognition lets us celebrate the little wins and big achievements that too easily go unnoticed.
Share Inspiring Examples
Keep our values front-of-mind by identifying and sharing noteworthy examples. The program creates a discovery mechanism to help team members learn how we apply our values in practice.
Recognize Distinguished Contributors
Recognize distinguished team members who've helped build the company over long, successful careers and formally call out their contributions and achievements.
How It Works
Protons
Recognize a team member for doing something that exemplifies one of our six core values. Any team member can nominate a colleague for a Proton.
For example, someone might receive an "Own It" Proton when they've gone above and beyond to create value for a client, or a "Give a Shit" Proton when they organize an event to give back to our community.
Neutrons
Recognize tenure or participation in significant company milestones. These are given out by managers.
We recognize significant company anniversaries, employee ownership, and attending major events. The collection continues to grow over time.
Recognition Ceremony
Protons and Neutrons are presented in company standups. Team members receive the admiration of their colleagues, a custom-designed coin to commemorate the event, and a digital rendition of the award on their profile.

Reflects Our Culture
The program provides an accurate reflection of our existing culture. It feels authentic in its process, aesthetics, and intent, with incentives aligned with the goals we have for each other.
Simple Process
The model is easy to understand and use. We can explain it to a new team member in just a few sentences, and it's simple to manage so it's a joy for everyone involved.
Available to All
Every team member is essential to our success. Value-based awards ensure we don't reward only a particular set of skills and that we include all team members.
